First off, what a cool name for the episode. Makes me want to name the site RageofGohan instead of TrueGohan. Anyways, Gohan is showing his full anger right now and the scouter reads off at power level 1370. That is higher than the special beam cannon and Raditz says that it still going up. Gohan has no training in fighting though, we know this because Goku mentioned it in a previous episode that Chi Chi would not allow it. So Gohan rams Raditz with a straight up head butt to the chest. Raditz/s Saiyan armor is broken and he looks like he lost his breath. Gohan quickly calms down and Radtiz notices that his power level has gone way down, a quick back hand to Gohan’s face knocked him clean out, so much for the high power level.
Raditz goes to kill Gohan but Goku hits him with old bear hug and calls for Piccolo to charge the special beam cannon. Piccolo had a very weird laugh during this. I am not sure how Goku can bear hug raditz now and not have to use the tail grabbing method. Turn’s out it Gohan’s attack that weakened him. Raditz quickly tells Goku that you know you will die with this hold. Goku already knew this and it was his plan, Piccolo does not mind Goku dying but mentions that his friends will wish him back with dragon balls anyways.
As you can see from above, Piccolo does not miss this time. Raditz and Goku both have large holes in their chest and they fall to the ground dead. There is a surprising amount of blood. Raditz is still somehow clinging to life as he can’t understand how Goku would give his life to killthem both. Piccolo explains to Raditz that Goku will live because of the dragon balls. Aren’t these kind of explanations usually reserved for villains? Well, I guess Piccolo is one at this point. But wait, turns out Scouters are transmitters as well and Raditz’s two Saiyan friends heard every word. The two other Saiyan’s will arrive in one years’ time. Piccolo finishes him off after hearing this.
Random Chi Chi scene again. She is at home wondering why Goku and Gohan isn’t home yet. Boy is hse in for a surprise. The Ox-King (Chi-Chi’s father) shows up with some food and we move on. I did some research on the Ox-King and he is interesting. He was king of some eternal fire mountain That Goku saved (with help) and then Goku saved Chi Chi and as payment the Ox-King offered her hand in marriage to Goku.
The Bulma crew start to show up to the scene of the battle and see the destruction when we are transported across the galaxy to meet Nappa and Vegeta for the very first time!
They sit on some remote planet that kind of looks like Namek but has these crazy bug-like creatures that Nappa and Vegeta have already destroyed. They heard everything about the dragon balls, and they plan to come get a wish.
Back on Earth Goku is breathing his final breaths with his friends and Piccolo at his side. Krillin promises to watch over Gohan and Goku slips off to death. 5 Episodes in and Goku is already dead.
Back on the far away planet Nappa says hey we can wish Raditz back. Vefeta dismisses this as stupid and says they should wish for immortality instead. Here he mentions that they could eventually become Super Saiyan’s. I believe this is the first mention of Super Saiyan’s.
Back on Earth Goku pulls the old Jedi move and vanishes into thin air. I guess he is a force ghost now. Piccolo explains that his is the work of Kami, guardian of Earth, I say he is a force ghost.
